I'm a single mom in my late thirties. My 7 year old awesome boy, and I are The Monkey and Me. Follow me as I deal with weight loss, (including recovering from my Dec 2010 tummy tuck ) , single parenting, Asberger's Syndrome, and lord help me, the single life. I'm trying my hardest to get things right or at least try to do it a little better. So far I'm doing what I can to learn from it, laugh about it and sometimes cry a little too.

My Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

It starts off with no time for coffee- never a good start. Then I had a little accident on my way to work - bumped into a car who slammed on her brakes to turn without a signal. No damage, but she was trying to blame all sorts of stuff on me - dents on the side of the vehicle, claimed her neck hurt, all while her door handles were falling off. Her car was a hoopty - and my plastic bumpered Saturn got no damage, so I think not. My bumper would have crumbled. When I got out to check for damage, I locked the key in the car with it running. My phone was in my car too, along with everything else. Police came, I got a ticket for following too closely- the officer was great and let me use her phone to call AAA. The AAA locksmith arrived and got my car unlocked, and sent me on my way.  I drove down the road only to run out of gas after like 2 or 3 blocks - I was on my way to get gas when the whole mess happened. I walked home to get my gas can, made myself a much needed cup of coffee, poured it in a paper cup, and walked back to to put gas in my tank, but I couldn't pour it in from the gas can, so I had to dump out my coffee to use the paper cup to pour it in one cup at a time. There wasn't enough gas, so I had to walk to the gas station. Got covered in gas during all this. Finally I was ready to roll. Made it to Wawa for gas and coffee. Finally got to work just in time for the 5th graders who 2 weeks ago were throwing things at my head behind my back.
I was running on not much sleep as the night before I was getting texts and phone messages from my ex that had me up most of the night and resulted in a call to the police.

The stupidest mistake in life is thinking the one who hurt you the most, won't hurt you again.

I think I've had my share of fun today.
I win worst Tuesday ever!

But did I let it beat me? No way! I hauled my rear to the gym and kicked some Body Pump and Body Step butt.

I confess I did hit the nutella, and I may not be having the best week - but I am tracking it and moving on.
